New Service Request

Welcome to the Rapidan Service Authority Community.  Please submit the Service Application and Agreement to apply for service. If you will be renting, your landlord will also need to submit the Landlord Authorization Form.
If you are requesting service for new construction, please contact your local RSA office.

Please submit your New Service request at least two (2) business days prior to the desired Turn On date.
If you require same-day or next-day service, contact your local RSA office to confirm that we are able to fulfill your request.
Requests are not fulfilled on weekends or holidays.

DEPOSITS

A $10.00 non-refundable set-up fee is charged to each new RSA account.

Additionally, a deposit is required for all new accounts. As of February 2026, the deposit amount is $160 for water service and $160 for sewer service ($320 total). Once your account is set up, an RSA Customer Service Representative will contact you regarding the deposit amount and due date. Note: new Gordonsville customers in good standing will not be charged a deposit upon account creation.

For homeowners, the deposit is credited to your account after 12 consecutive months of on-time payments.  If you move out prior to receiving this credit, the deposit will be applied to your final bill.  A check for any remainder will be mailed to the forwarding address you provide with your Account Termination Request.

For renters, your deposit is held until you move.  The deposit will be applied to your final bill, and a check for any remainder will be mailed to the forwarding address you provide with your Account Termination Request.
